  1. What about the 1925 Rose Bowl between Alabama and Washington Alabama won the game 20-19 and that’s also was the same year Alabama won its first national championship and finished the season undefeated at 10-0

  2. The 06 Trojans weren’t the defending Rose Bowl Champions. Defending national champions yes, but no rose bowl. The previous rose bowl was won by Texas

  3. Nice to see the 97 game get some recognition. A cool fact that is often forgotten is the grit Joe Germaine showed that day. Before the game winning drive, his chin got busted WIDE open. He came back in despite that. This wasn’t a small cut by any means. There was a shit ton of blood down the front of his jersey

  4. Sorry but your #10 was actually #1 because Michigan State was practically unbeatable with Bubba Smith and George Webster. Also sophomore Gary Beban [future Heisman winner] was the best player of the game without question – not Stiles. He scored UCLA’s 2 touchdowns and also had a 70 yard run on the 1st play of the game that was reminiscent of his single-wing days at Sequoia High School in Redwood City.
